Position: Associate Analysts
Applicant Location: New York, NY/Global
• DCI is looking for three (3) motivated research and technology analysts for its core research areas. These include: Advanced Materials such as nanomaterials, cutting tools, hard and superhard materials, metalworking, coatings and abrasives; Life Sciences & MEMS including biochips, bioMEMS and microscopes; Electronic Components & Equipment including quartz crystals, oscillators, alternative frequency control, optics, digital equipment and surge protection; Mobile Communications including wireless infrastructure, VOIP and 4G; and Data Storage and Security.

Responsibilities include:
• Develop study ideas and oversee multiclient research reports covering core topics;
• Develop detailed global research programs including primary interviews with industry executives, secondary sources such as trade magazines, company financials, public records, online services, association literature, and government sources;
• Manage Research Assistants and Research Interns in the development/implementation of research programs and marketing strategies;
• Conduct research including primary interviews with industry executives and analysis of secondary sources
• Act as primary editor of written reports and tabular data
• Ability to forecast and estimate trends in dynamic and emerging markets
• Ability to present complex market dynamics in coherent and understandable forms to marketing and business development teams
• Ability to cultivate and maintain client contacts and relationships
• Work directly with marketing and sales teams to implement report publication and distribution

Minimum Requirements:
• Graduate Degree in Business, Law or Engineering;
• Two (2) years experience as a market research professional; OR
• Two (2) years experience in high-technology sales, marketing or engineering; AND
• Proficiency in major office software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat; AND
• Multilingual ability a plus (English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, or German).



Position: Research Assistant/Interns
Applicant Location: New York, NY/Global
• DCI is looking for motivated and responsible research assistants and research interns who have the ability to multitask and can perform in both a research and administrative capacity. Responsibilities for both types of candidates will be the same. However, commitments for interns will be on a short-term, project-by-project basis throughout the academic semester and the summer months. Successful applicants will be trained in DCI methodologies and relevant market research techniques.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist Senior and Associate Research Analysts in performing research functions including the investigation and documentation of secondary sources such as trade magazines, company financials, public records, online services such as Lexis/Nexis and Thomson, association literature, and government sources such as the Patent and Trademark office;
• Draft preliminary technology briefs to assist research analysts;
• Prepare relevant manufacturer, distributor and end-user lists during report preparation;
• Ability to understand market trends in dynamic and emerging markets;
• Ability to assist in the cultivation and development of client contacts and relationships; and
• Assist marketing and sales teams during report publication and distribution.

Minimum Requirements:
• Enrollment in accredited university degree program in business or liberal arts; OR
• Proven experience as a research or administrative professional; OR
• Two (2) years experience at a high-technology company in an administrative or research capacity; AND
• Proficiency in major office software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat; AND
• Multilingual ability a plus (English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, or German).



Position: Marketing/Sales Associates/Interns
Applicant Location: New York, NY/Global
• DCI is looking for motivated marketing/sales associates and interns for both its legacy and recently published reports as well as its consultancy services. Positions will be both flat fee and commission-based moving toward a full-time salaried position. Each is commensurate with experience and education. Excellent opportunity to gain strong career experience at a growing company operating in dynamic markets.

Responsibilities include:
• Work directly from customer/research contact lists to develop sales leads and client relationships;
• Identify and establish client relationships with Fortune 1,000 companies, investment banking firms, academic institutions, and public sector institutions;
• Work directly with Senior Analysts to produce press releases for reports and direct mail campaigns;
• Associates: Develop and implement online marketing strategies;
• Associates: Coordinate advertising and marketing to media outlets including print-based and event planning companies; and
• Associates: Develop and implement new product/service offerings for clients.

Minimum Requirements:
• Proficiency in major office software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat; AND

Specific to Associate Position
• Bachelors Degree in Business; OR
• Two (2) years experience as a market research professional; OR
• Two (2) years experience in high-technology sales, marketing or business development; AND
• Proven evaluative, writing, qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.

Specific to Interns
• Strong communications skills and desire to learn about high-technology industries and marketing; AND
• Exemplary writing and analytical skills.



Position: Editor--DCI Newsletter
Applicant Location: Global
• DCI is developing a quarterly, subscriber newsletter intended to draw articles and data from its published research and new research. The newsletter will seek to integrate information from several related markets/products and focus on a particular facet of approaching the markets. The final product will be available in both print and electronic PDF formats.

Responsibilities include:
• Develop article ideas and oversee their development through publication;
• Organize and manage a team of in-house and freelance analysts who will have the primary responsibility of drafting copy and organizing texts for publication;
• Manage the fact checking, copyediting and proofreading of articles before submitting the final copy to the art department;
• Submit and manage the layout and design of the final printed product; and
• Work directly with marketing and sales teams to implement newsletter publication and distribution.

Minimum Requirements:
• College Degree in Liberal Arts, Business or Engineering; OR
• Two (2) years experience in publishing or as a market research professional; AND
• Demonstrated skills in written and spoken communication; AND
• Proficiency in major office software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat; AND
• Multilingual ability a plus (English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, or German).
