When ordering a report or consulting services from Dedalus Consulting, you accept these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time at our discretion. Any changes take effect when posted to this website, and your continued use of our website or products following a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Purchasing Policy
At Dedalus Consulting, we work to ensure that every client is satisfied with our service and the products we publish. Our products are information-based, delivered in digital format, and easily replicated through electronic means. For this reason, purchases are considered final once they are placed (either directly or by purchase order) and delivered.
Copyright
All content included in our reports and on our website—including text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software—is the sole property of Dedalus Consulting, and nothing in your purchase grants the right to copy any portion without our express written consent. All of our content is protected by international copyright laws.
The compilation of all content is the sole property of Dedalus Consulting.
All software used on our website is the property of Dedalus Consulting or its software suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. You agree not to copy, reproduce, duplicate, sell, resell, or exploit for any purpose any portion of our reports or website. You may not re-use or extract any part of our Content without Dedalus Consulting's express written consent.
In particular, you may not use any data mining, robots, scraping, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar automated search, extraction, or ingestion tools to re-use, reproduce, index, or train upon any substantial part of this website or our Content without Dedalus Consulting's express written consent. You may not use substantial parts of this website (for example, product listings and prices) without our express written consent.
Use of Content with Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems
The data, analyses, text, tables, charts, and other materials contained in Dedalus Consulting reports, datasets, and platforms (the "Content") may not be copied, uploaded, transmitted, or otherwise input into any artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language model, generative AI, or similar system—including but not limited to tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude—except where expressly permitted by the license you have purchased.
This restriction applies without limitation to: using the Content to train, fine-tune, ground, or augment any AI or machine-learning model; ingesting the Content into a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system, vector database, embedding store, or internal knowledge base; and submitting the Content to any third-party AI service whose terms permit the provider to retain, reuse, or train upon submitted data.
AI and machine-learning usage rights are licensed separately and are not conveyed by a standard report or subscription license. Clients who require the ability to incorporate Dedalus Consulting Content into internal AI systems, copilots, or analytical models must obtain an appropriate AI Usage License. Please contact client services to discuss terms.
Unauthorized ingestion of Content into any AI or automated system constitutes a material breach of these terms and an infringement of Dedalus Consulting's intellectual property rights, and immediately terminates all licenses granted.
Our Contract
Once you place an order for a product or services, payment for that product becomes due and owing immediately. Although the product will not be dispatched until payment is received in full, you remain liable to pay Dedalus Consulting all monies due on the order. An order cannot be cancelled once it has been delivered, except for extraordinary reasons approved by Dedalus Consulting. Dedalus Consulting will not be responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under our contract with you where such delay or failure arises from any cause beyond our reasonable control.
Product Descriptions
Dedalus Consulting strives to be as accurate as possible, and we stand behind our information completely. We make every effort to ensure the reliability of the information presented on this site and within our reports. However, Dedalus Consulting does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site are complete or error-free. Once a report is purchased, Dedalus Consulting offers to answer follow-up questions within reason. At times, clients require more in-depth coverage than our report model allows; in these cases we are glad to work with clients to get them the information they need, and a follow-up fee may apply when more in-depth data is desired. We work hard to ensure each client is satisfied, but reserve the right to answer questions on a priority basis determined solely by us.
Shipping
Dedalus Consulting can ship internationally. The majority of our products are delivered electronically. Hardcopy orders may be dispatched by mail or courier, incur an additional charge, and carry shipping costs based on the destination.
Delivery Time
When you place an order with Dedalus Consulting, we aim to deliver the product as soon as possible. Electronic delivery is always the fastest option; the majority of electronic information products are dispatched within 24 hours. Hardcopy products are generally dispatched from the US, and delivery to some markets may be delayed by local carriers and customs. Where possible, we encourage clients to order products electronically.
Pre-Publication Discounts and Shipping
From time to time, Dedalus Consulting offers a pre-publication discount on an upcoming report, typically within 2–3 weeks of actual publication. In some cases, publication is delayed due to unforeseen reasons inherent in the collection of data and the scheduling of interviews with market participants. You agree that reasonable delays are not cause for order cancellation, and we will endeavor to ensure any delay does not extend past two (2) weeks of the expected publication date.
Bulk Discounts
We may be able to offer additional discounts on large orders of a single title or on large orders of many individual titles. If you are ordering more than three items, please contact client services to enquire about pricing.
Licenses
When you purchase a report from Dedalus Consulting, you are granted a non-exclusive license to use the data and analyses presented. Nothing in the license grants the purchaser any intellectual property right, including copyright or trademark, to the purchased report.
Dedalus Consulting offers its products under several license options that govern access to and use of the information presented within our reports. License options determine not only the number of authorized users and the scope of permitted internal distribution, but also whether the Content may be processed by automated or AI systems. The choice of license should be made according to your intended use.
AI and machine-learning usage is excluded from all standard licenses unless expressly stated, and requires a separate AI Usage License as described under "Use of Content with Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems" above.
Online access to our published data and analyses through our PDF web viewer, DRM system, and other online portals expires 12–18 months from the date of purchase, depending on the publication cycle of the data and information. Online access to our Ulysses DRM platform ends with the expiration of your selected subscription period.
Returns
Our company has a long history of providing information and data across the markets we serve. Our reputation has never been called into question, but occasionally the scope and definition of research differs from that of a customer, and questions arise about methodology and data points. When that happens, we work diligently to resolve any definitional differences in order to reconcile our data and the client's.
However, due to the nature of the products being sold (information-based and easily duplicated), Dedalus Consulting cannot accept the cancellation of an order once it has been placed and any information has been delivered to the customer. This includes any data delivered in anticipation of the final report and any order placed as part of a pre-publication promotion. In the case of discrepancies in the data, we work with clients to resolve them.
Privacy
Dedalus Consulting knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust. We protect the security of your information during transmission using Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. Information collected through our site is handled in accordance with applicable data-protection regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
Indemnity
You agree to hold harmless Dedalus Consulting and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, partners, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of our Content, your violation of these terms and conditions, your use of report data, or your violation of any rights of another.
Applicable Law
By visiting dedalusconsulting.com, you agree that the laws of the State of New York, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any kind that might arise between you and Dedalus Consulting or its affiliates.
